The Nx2 PCB design will be ready for licensing from versions V1.5 to V4.0. Additionally, there are plans to lobby and promote 100BASE-NX2 and 1000BASE-NX2 as new standards within appropriate bodies. Work might also focus on 2.5GBASE-NX2 and other future versions of Nx2, like wireless options and different chipset implementations.

As per the roadmap, CUE shall attempt to join and engage in IEEE and lobby for new 802.3 committees to push for Nx2 100Mbps and 1000Mbps new standards.
